Day 2
Cultural Triangle ✦ Sigiriya
Climb the rock fortress at first light. Frescoes, water gardens, and the sweep of the jungle from the summit.
Day 3
Dambulla & Polonnaruwa
Cave temples in the morning, the ancient royal city in the afternoon. Cycle through 1,000-year-old ruins.
Day 4
On to Kandy
Spice garden en route. Evening at the Temple of the Tooth during puja prayers. A traditional Kandyan dance show.
Day 5
The blue train to the hills
Kandy → Ella by train, the most photographed window in Asia. Tea factory visit. Hilltop sunset.
Day 6
Ella & Nine Arch Bridge
Sunrise at Nine Arch. A short hike to Little Adam's Peak. A long lunch under the trees.
Day 7
Yala safari
Pre-dawn jeep into the bush. Leopards, sloth bears, painted storks. Back for breakfast in the wild.
